ADDAR was born inside Dar Abu Abdullah, a community center in Amman that has served vulnerable families for over two decades. What started as a small sewing workshop for women seeking economic independence has grown into a social enterprise that connects hundreds of producers across Jordan with markets that value their craft.
Our name — ADDAR, meaning "the home" in Arabic — reflects our belief that economic empowerment begins with dignity, community, and a place to call your own. Every product we sell carries the story of its maker: a woman who trained, practiced, perfected her craft, and now earns a sustainable income doing work she is proud of.
